DAY 1: MARRAKECH – AIT BEN HADDOU – MERZOUGA DESERT
You will start your 2 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert early in the morning, heading toward the Sahara Desert and passing through the High Atlas Mountains. Your first stop will be at the Tizi n’Tichka Pass viewpoint, where you’ll have breakfast and enjoy a panoramic view. Then, you’ll continue to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a visit.
As you travel, you’ll pass through Berber villages and oases along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Lunch will be served in Tinejdad or along the way. You’ll arrive at the Merzouga Desert in the afternoon, where your camel caravan will be waiting for you.
You’ll ride your camels across the Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoy the sunset from a high dune, and try sandboarding. Then, you’ll continue to your desert camp. You’ll be welcomed with mint tea and shown to your private tent. After some rest, you’ll be served dinner and enjoy a traditional Berber music party by locals around a bonfire. Later, you can climb the dunes to admire the stars in the clear night sky.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT – OUARZAZATE – MARRAKECH
Today, since you’re in the desert, it’s recommended to wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise near the camp. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, you’ll be picked up by car—or, if you prefer, you can return to Merzouga village by camel again.
Once you meet your driver, you’ll head to Rissani to visit the local market (if your visit falls on a Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday). Your second stop will be in the mountains to explore some fossils, then you’ll continue to Alnif for a coffee break and to stretch your legs.
After that, you’ll drive to Ouarzazate through the Draa Valley. Lunch will be in Ouarzazate. In the afternoon, you’ll head back to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains, arriving in the late afternoon to conclude your 2-day desert tour from Marrakech.
