FES TO MARRAKECH DESERT TOUR 3 DAYS

DAY 1: FES – ZIZ VALLEY – MERZOUGA DESERT

On the first day of your Fes to Marrakech desert tour 3 days we will pick you up from your riad or hotel in Fes and drive via the middle Atlas mountains we’ll enjoy a nice drive through Berber villages. Stop in the beautiful city of Ifrane (known as “Moroccan Switzerland “), continue to Azrou the famous cedar forest where you can see the Barbary monkeys up close.

Continuing our trip, we will pass through scenic hills and mountains to reach the town of Midelt where you can have a break for coffe. From there, we will drive through the Tizi-N-Talghamt Pass and the Ziz Gorge, where the landscape dramatically changes as you approach Errachidia. Here, you will enjoy a delicious lunch while experiencing authentic Berber hospitality.

Next, we’ll head south to Erfoud known for fossils and its yearly celebration dates market through the beautiful Ziz Valley where we’ll stop to appreciate a nice panoramic view with the scenery of the oasis in the afternoon we’ll reach the impressive Erg Chebbi dunes from here you will do camel trekking to reach the Berber desert Camp, the camel ride takes 1 h with a break on top of the dune to watch the sunset, try the sandboarding if that’s an activity you’re interested in, enjoy the views, take photos then after this beautiful moments you’ll continue to the camp where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of tea and relax until dinner time, after having dinner there’s be some traditional drumming music around a bonfire, enjoy the starry sky then sleep under a nomadic private tent.

DAY 2: MERZOUGA DESERT – TODRA GORGES – BOUMALNE DADES

Today as you’re already in the Merzouga desert dunes it is worth getting up early in the morning to watch the sunrise near the camp after these lovely moments you will have breakfast and take a shower at the camp; Then transfer by 4WD to remain your private 3 days Fes to Marrakech desert tour; You will visit weekly market of Rissani if it’s one of the market days ( Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday) we’ll pass through small Berber villages such as Touroug, Tinjdad, and Tinghir where we’ll stop to admire its beautiful Todra valley full of palm trees and vegetation we continue to Todra gorge located in the feet of the high Atlas Mountains a famous place for rock climbers you will have free time to walk through its high canyons before enjoying lunch.

In the afternoon, we will travel to Boumalne Dades, also known as the Valley of Figs. You will have the chance to stop at the famous rock formations before settling into a charming hotel/riad for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 3: BOUMALN DADES – AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH

Following a delightful breakfast at your Riad, we will drive across the Valley of the Dades and the Valley of the Roses until joining Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. If you are interested, you can also explore the renowned film studios in Ouarzazate, where many famous movies were shot.

After 25 km of the road we will arrive in the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, declared World Heritage by UNESCO famous for being the scenario of cinematographic blockbusters like the Oscar-winning “Lawrence of Arabia, Game of Thrones, and Gladiator”. You will have free time to explore this iconic village.

In the afternoon, we will follow the road through the port of Tichka stopping for breathtaking panoramic views along the way.
