Marrakech itinerary 5 days

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech → Transfer to Riad

Your 5-day Marrakech itinerary begins with a warm welcome at Marrakech Menara Airport. Our team will meet you at arrivals and escort you to a charming riad in the heart of the medina. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax with mint tea on the rooftop or take a short stroll through the narrow alleys of the old town. The evening is yours to rest or enjoy dinner at a local restaurant near Jemaa el-Fna Square.

Day 2: Marrakech → High Atlas Mountains → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley

After breakfast, you’ll leave Marrakech and begin your adventure toward the Sahara. The road winds through the High Atlas Mountains via the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m), offering scenic views and Berber villages. Midday, you’ll visit the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO site known for its role in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

Next, pass through Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert and home to Atlas Studios. From there, continue through the lush Skoura Oasis and the Valley of Roses before reaching the Dades Valley. Check into a charming guesthouse and enjoy dinner surrounded by the dramatic rock formations.

Day 3: Dades Gorge → Todra Gorge → Merzouga → Camel Trek in Erg Chebbi

After breakfast, continue your Marrakech 5-day itinerary through the breathtaking Dades Gorge, with its winding roads and sheer cliffs. Your next stop is Todra Gorge, where you can take a short walk along the river flanked by towering canyon walls.

By afternoon, arrive in Merzouga, on the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, you’ll switch to camels for a guided trek across the golden sands. Arrive at your desert camp just before sunset. After settling into your private tent, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner followed by live drumming around the campfire under the starry desert sky.

Day 4: Merzouga → Agdez → Atlas Mountains → Return to Marrakech

Wake early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, a peaceful, unforgettable moment. After breakfast at camp, ride your camel or transfer back to the 4×4 and begin your return journey to Marrakech.

Travel through Alnif, Nkob, and the scenic Draa Valley dotted with palm groves. Stop for lunch en route, and pass again through the High Atlas before descending into Marrakech in the late afternoon or evening. Check into your riad and enjoy your final night in the city.

Day 5: Explore Marrakech → Airport Transfer

Your last day of the Marrakech itinerary 5 days, is dedicated to exploring the Red City. With a local guide, visit key sites like the Bahia Palace, Koutoubia Mosque, and the bustling souks. Wander through the spice markets, artisan stalls, and historic quarters.

Depending on your flight schedule, you can also enjoy a traditional Moroccan hammam, shop for souvenirs, or simply relax at your riad. Later, our driver will transfer you to the airport for your departure.
