It balances immersive cultural experiences with the comfort of a private tour and carefully selected accommodations.
Getting to Marrakech
Marrakech is one of Morocco’s most accessible cities. You can fly directly into Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) from major cities across Europe, the Middle East, and North America. The airport is located about 15 minutes from the city center. Our driver will greet you at the terminal and transfer you directly to your riad in the old medina or hotel, depending on your package.
Best Time to Visit Marrakech
The best time to follow a 6-day Marrakech itinerary is during spring (March to May) or fall (September to November). During these months, temperatures are pleasant both in the city and the desert. Summer can be extremely hot, especially in the Sahara, while winter offers cooler days and chilly desert nights. Each season has its charm, but spring and autumn are ideal for sightseeing, desert excursions, and enjoying Moroccan hospitality at its best.

Day-by-Day Marrakech Itinerary 6 Days
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech – Airport Pickup & Medina Stroll
Upon arrival, we’ll welcome you at Marrakech Airport and transfer you to your riad in the heart of the medina. Depending on your arrival time, you can rest or take a short introductory walk through the nearby souks and alleys. If you prefer, we can organize an optional guided tour to explore Jemaa el-Fna square, Koutoubia Mosque (from outside), and some nearby hidden corners. Dinner is at your leisure tonight, with many local options just steps from your riad.
Day 2: Marrakech → Tizi n’Tichka Pass → Ait Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley
Your adventure begins with an early departure into the High Atlas Mountains. You’ll cross the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) with stops for photos along the way. After winding through Berber villages, we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, a fortified village featured in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Lunch will be near the kasbah before continuing to Ouarzazate, where you can optionally visit the Atlas Film Studios. From there, we drive into the scenic Dades Valley to reach your hotel nestled between the red rock formations. Dinner and overnight in the valley.
Day 3: Dades Valley → Todra Gorges → Merzouga → Camel Ride into Erg Chebbi Dunes
After breakfast, we continue toward the Todra Gorges, known for their impressive canyon walls and popular with rock climbers. You’ll have time to stretch your legs or take a short hike along the gorge floor. Then we head south, passing through desert towns like Erfoud until we reach Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara. Here, you’ll meet your camel caravan for a scenic ride over the Erg Chebbi dunes at sunset. Tonight, you’ll stay in a desert camp, where you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, music by the fire, and a sky full of stars.
Day 4: Merzouga → Rissani → Alnif → Agdz → Ouarzazate
Wake up early if you want to see the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we ride camels (or take the 4×4) back to Merzouga, then begin the return route through the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river oasis. Along the way, we pass Rissani, a traditional town with a lively market, and Alnif, a small fossil-rich village. The drive is long but scenic, with stops in Agdz, known for its palm groves and kasbahs. We arrive in Ouarzazate by late afternoon for dinner and overnight in a local riad or guesthouse.
Day 5: Ouarzazate → Atlas Studios (Optional) → Tizi n’Tichka → Marrakech
Today we return to Marrakech, taking a more relaxed drive through the High Atlas Mountains. If you didn’t visit the Atlas Studios earlier, we can make time this morning. After passing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass again, we arrive in Marrakech by mid-afternoon. You’ll have the rest of the day at leisure—consider relaxing with a traditional hammam spa, enjoying Moroccan mint tea on a rooftop terrace, or beginning your shopping in the souks. Overnight in your riad.
Day 6: Full Day in Marrakech + Airport Transfer
This final day is all about immersing yourself in Marrakech’s sights. With a local guide (optional), you can explore Bahia Palace, the colorful Majorelle Garden, and the labyrinthine souks. Don’t miss the spice stalls, leather goods, and artisans at work. You’ll also visit Jemaa el-Fna square, where storytellers, musicians, and food stalls create an unforgettable atmosphere. Depending on your flight, we’ll transfer you to the airport in time for departure.
