Morocco Itinerary 2 Weeks

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN CASABLANCA ➔ RABAT (128 KM / 2 HRS)

Option 1: Early Arrival You’ll be welcomed by our driver at the airport. After a quick briefing on your Morocco itinerary two weeks, begin exploring Casablanca: visit the stunning Hassan II Mosque, stroll the Corniche, and discover the old Medina. After lunch, head to Rabat to explore the Hassan Tower, Oudaya Kasbah, and the Royal Palace gardens. Overnight in Rabat with breakfast.

Option 2: Late Arrival You’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred directly to your Casablanca hotel. Rest and get ready to begin your Moroccan adventure the next day.

DAY 2: CASABLANCA / RABAT ➔ TANGIER (258 KM / 4 HRS)

After breakfast, you’ll either finish visiting Casablanca’s key landmarks or start your day in Rabat, taking in its blend of Islamic architecture and Andalusian gardens. From there, you’ll drive up the coast toward Tangier. On the way, you’ll stop for a relaxed lunch in the artistic coastal town of Asilah, known for its whitewashed walls and murals. Before reaching Tangier, you’ll visit Cape Spartel—where the Atlantic meets the Mediterranean—and the Hercules Caves, a place tied to ancient myths. In the evening, check into your hotel in Tangier. Breakfast is included.

DAY 3: TANGIER ➔ CHEFCHAOUEN (112 KM / 4 HRS)

You’ll leave Tangier after breakfast and travel into the Rif Mountains, where the scenery becomes greener and more rural. Along the way, you’ll stop in Tetouan, a city influenced heavily by Spanish architecture, and visit its colonial-era cathedral. From there, continue on to Chefchaouen. Once you arrive, you’ll have time to settle into your riad and explore the relaxed pace of the “Blue City.” Its medina is quiet and charming, filled with local crafts, cafes, and scenic views. Dinner is on your own, and your overnight stay includes breakfast.

DAY 4: EXPLORE CHEFCHAOUEN

Today is yours to fully enjoy Chefchaouen. After breakfast, wander through the town’s winding blue alleys at your own pace. You’ll visit places like the Kasbah Museum in the central square, Plaza Uta el-Hammam, and the Grand Mosque. The Ras Elma spring is a refreshing stop at the edge of the medina. In the evening, make your way up to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views of the city at sunset. You’ll stay another night in the same riad with breakfast included.

DAY 5: CHEFCHAOUEN ➔ FES (260 KM / 5 HRS)

After breakfast, you’ll start the drive to Fes, stopping first in the holy town of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun. Next, you’ll explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, where mosaic floors and tall columns offer a glimpse into Morocco’s ancient past. From there, continue to Meknes to visit landmarks like Bab Mansour and the Royal Stables. You’ll arrive in Fes by late afternoon or evening and check into a traditional riad in the medina. Breakfast is included.

DAY 6: FES CITY TOUR

Today, you’ll dive into the rich history of Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city. With a local guide, you’ll visit the Royal Palace gates, the old Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and the vibrant souks. You’ll also stop by Al-Qarawiyyin University, the world’s oldest functioning university, the tanneries, Medersa Bou Inania, and the Nejjarine Museum of wooden arts and crafts. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue exploring artisan workshops and narrow alleyways. Overnight at the same riad, with breakfast included.

DAY 7: FES ➔ MERZOUGA (500 KM / 7 HRS)

You’ll set off early today for a scenic drive to the Sahara. The first stop is Ifrane, a quiet town with alpine-style architecture. Then, in Azrou, you can stretch your legs in the cedar forest and may see Barbary macaques. After a lunch break in Midelt, continue through the dramatic Ziz Valley, full of palm groves and traditional mudbrick villages. You’ll reach Merzouga by late afternoon. There, you’ll ride camels across the dunes at sunset and check into a luxury desert camp. Enjoy dinner and live Berber music around the fire before sleeping under the stars.

DAY 8: EXPLORE THE MERZOUGA DESERT

Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the dunes, then enjoy breakfast at camp. Today’s adventure continues with a 4×4 desert tour. You’ll visit a nomadic family living in tents, the black volcanic rock formations nearby, and the Gnawa musicians in Khamlia village. If the seasonal lake Dayet Srij is full, you might spot flamingos. After lunch in the village, you’ll explore Merzouga’s palm groves and irrigation canals before heading to a local hotel. Dinner and overnight included.

DAY 9: MERZOUGA ➔ DADES VALLEY (310 KM / 6 HRS)

After breakfast, head to Rissani, where you’ll visit the local market and see the unique donkey parking area. Continue through Erfoud, famous for fossil workshops, and pass through Tinejdad and Tinghir. In the Todra Gorges, you can walk between towering red rock cliffs carved by the river. Later, you’ll drive through the scenic Dades Valley and stop to see rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers.” Spend the night in a local hotel with dinner and breakfast.

DAY 10: DADES VALLEY ➔ MARRAKECH (350 KM / 6 HRS)

Today’s drive takes you through southern Morocco’s changing landscapes. After breakfast, you’ll visit the Valley of Roses in Kelaat M’Gouna and possibly a women’s cooperative that makes rose-based products. Continue to Ouarzazate, where you can tour the Atlas Film Studios (optional). Then explore the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO site used in many films. After lunch nearby, cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening and check into your riad.

DAY 11: MARRAKECH CITY TOUR

After breakfast, your guide will take you on a full tour of Marrakech’s historical and cultural sites. You’ll visit Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and the Majorelle Gardens. In the afternoon, dive into the souks of the old Medina and discover Jemaa el-Fnaa square, full of performers, juice stalls, and local food. Overnight in your Marrakech riad with breakfast included.

DAY 12: MARRAKECH ➔ ESSAOUIRA (175 KM / 3 HRS)

After breakfast, head west to the Atlantic coast. Once in Essaouira, check in to your riad and spend the rest of the day exploring the city’s laid-back atmosphere. Walk the old medina, visit the Skala fortress, browse art galleries, or watch the fishermen at the port. You’ll have the chance to enjoy fresh seafood by the sea. Overnight stay includes breakfast.

DAY 13: ESSAOUIRA ➔ CASABLANCA (370 KM / 5 HRS)

Enjoy one last breakfast by the ocean before traveling along the coast back toward Casablanca. You’ll stop in El Jadida to visit the Portuguese Cistern and explore its walled medina. After lunch, continue north and arrive in Casablanca by evening. Check into your hotel for the final night of your tour. Breakfast included.

DAY 14: DEPARTURE FROM CASABLANCA

Your driver will transfer you to Mohammed V International Airport based on your flight schedule. After 2 weeks in Morocco itinerary filled with unforgettable landscapes, cultural treasures, and local hospitality, it’s time to say goodbye until next time.
