ITINERARY
Our 3 Days Desert Tour from Fes to Marrakech offers you the opportunity to have a real desert experience, ride camels and spend a night in a magical desert camp. On the way you will discover some of the most interesting places in Morocco such as Ifrane, Ceder forest in Azrou, Ziz Valley, Gorges of Todra and Dades Valley, the Ksar of Ait benhadou, Atlas Mountains and more. This is the route to best solution travel from Fes and Marrakech while discovering a big part of Morocco and enjoying a lifetime desert experience on the way.
DAY 1: Fez – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga
To start the 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech we will pick you up from your accomodation in Fes in the morning. Then we will set off in the direction to the Merzouga Desert. On the way we will pass through Ifran , the capital of a Jewish Kingdom in the distant past, then to the Ziz Valley. Starting just south of the Middle Atlas town of Rich and about 30km north of Er-Rachidia, the tremendous Ziz Gorges provide a rocky passage south through the Tunnel du Légionnaire.
Keeping on our way we will traverse the famous and largest cedar forest in Morocco, where you may well see Barbarian apes. The journey continues along the Ziz Oasis, stopping for panoramic views along the way. The landscape is dotted with welcoming berber villages some of them still keeping a nomadic lifestyle. We will arrive at Erfoud and then Rissani, major commercial center in the region, with a large souk, particularly lively on Tuesdays and Sundays. After some kilometers you will see the first dunes, welcome to Sahara Desert.
Once in Merzouga we will ride the camels camp crossing the sand dunes till reach the desert camp. You will stop in dunes for sunset, a great opportunity to take magical photos of the sunset over the dunes. When we get to our Merzouga luxury desert camp, you’ll have time to walk to admire the sand dunes. In the desert the time stops and you feel a deep tranquility. We will have dinner, Berber Drums music around a fire camp and you’ll have free time to walk to the nearest dunes to watch the stars. You can find more information about the Sahara experience here.
DAY 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades valley and Gorge.
If we wake up early enough, we can watch the spectacle of sunrise, when the colour of the dunes combine with the play of shadows to make an awesome sight. After a complete breakfast and some time for a shower and get our things ready we ride the camels for around 45 minutes to come back to the road. We will set off in the direction to Dades Gorges where we spend the second night of this 3 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. Today oasis, Valleys and old Berber villages are waiting for us. The road passes through Tinejdad and the Todra Valley, one of the most spectacular canyons in the world. Later, we will continue to the Dades Valley and the Dades Gorges before spending the night in a hotel.
DAY 3: Dades Valley – Rose Valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Atlas Mount – Marrakech.
After breakfast, we will continue the drive through the villages of this charming area with the peaks of the High Atlas as a fitting backdrop. Our journey will then continue towards Ouarzazate along the Valley of the Roses, famous for its Rose Festival in May. We will see the 1000 the Kasbahs dotting the area of the valley and the Skoura oasis. The most impressive is the Ait Benhaddou kasbah, UNESCO World Heritage site. This is a fortified village made up of kasbahs made of adobe (sand, clay, water and sometimes organic material such as straw or manure) which, once moulded, is left to dry in the sun. A very peculiar way of building using materials from the ground itself, which generates the sensation that the construction emerges from the landscape.
Then we arrive to Ouarzazate, also known as Hollywood of Morocco. From here we will start crossing the highest pass in Africa, Tizi n’Tichka, where we will reach an elevantion of 2260m above the sea level. At late afternoon we will arrive in Marrakech. We will leave you in your riad hoping you had a great experience with us.

TESTIMONIALS
“Excellent experience
We had a 4 Days Trip from Marrakesch to the Merzouga Desert and back. The trip was perfect. Our Guide did a great job, was very friendly and we felt us very comfortable with him. Diana, the trip organizer took care of every detail since we contacted her till we were back at home. All journey experience was unforgettable. In desert we stayed in a camp that was really clean and in middle of the desert, we had our own bed and room arrangement. The camel drive, the sunset/ sunrise in desert just lifetime memories! I absolutely worth the money that you pay for that. I highly recommend this company if you like to enjoy Marocco and desert with comfort.
Thank you very much . Hopefully coming back soon for a new Morocco Sahara tour”

“Simply perfect
We dida Morocco Sahara Tour from Marrakech – Sahara Desert – Fes in 4 daysand it was truly a great experience. The trip was very well planned and the people from the agecy took very good care of us. Our driver was great. He shared a lot with us about the Berber way of living and answered all the questions we had about local culture and history. All the stops throughout the way were beautiful and well worth the travelling. The camel trek and the night spent in the dessert were the pinnacle of our holiday in Morocco. The views were breathtaking, the camp was very comfortable and the dinner was delicious. It does get very very cold at night in November so make sure to bring warm clothes with you, although there were plenty of blankets in the tents. The only downside is that the last day involves a lot of driving back to Fes (over 8 hours) but this is unavoidable so be prepared. Overall, highly recommend this trip! “

“Breathtaking experience
We chose the 3 days tour to Erg Chebbi and the trip was amazing! We started our Morocco Sahara toursin Marrakesh and went through the Atlas mountains where the views are breathtaking right at the start of the tour! But this is just the beginning and it keeps getting better as you approach the desert. Along the way you get to visit a lot of more beautiful places and our guide, Faissal, was always very helpful and friendly answering all our questions!
On the next day we arrived to the desert and went on a camel ride to the encampment where you stay at night. The ride is very funny, it was the first time ridding a camel and was very enjoyable. Along the way we saw the sunset wich gives you the opportunity for excellent pictures and memories! We ended this night watching the stars, never seen the sky so clear with so many stars!
The next day we went back to Marrakesh. These are three long days but are worth every second! “
