DAY 1: MARRAKECH – DADES

 7 HOURS

On the first day your driver-guide will pick you up at 08:00 am from your hotel or Riad in Marrakech; Then we will start your 4-days Morocco desert tour from Marrakech to Fes via the dunes of erg Chebbi at Merzouga, across the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass of the High Atlas Mountains, with far-reaching views across the Berber villages and valleys, to the traditional adobe kasbahs. Next, we carry on to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou and have lunch over there. Later drive to Ouarzazate, with an option to visit the Atlas Studios and Taourirt Kasbah, then to Dades gorges through Skoura oasis and Rose Valley. Spend the night in a fabulous Moroccan kasbah hotel-style.

DAY 2: DADES – MERZOUGA

5 HOURS

The next day after breakfast in your hotel, leave then the Dades Gorges and drive to Todra Gorges Gorge via Tinghir; The lush valley of Todra where you will have a little hike along the narrow and high cliffs of Todra. Later, we continue to Merzouga via the dramatic stony desert and the palm trees of Erfoud (capital of the fossils), and Rissani is known for its largest market in the south. DAY 3: MERZOUGA AT ERG CHEBBI DUNES

Today is the whole Desert day. When you are in the middle of the desert; It’s worth getting up early to contemplate the most magnificent sunrise you’ve ever seen at the top of a dune close to the camp and enjoy this landscape that is a gift of nature. After sunrise, we return to have breakfast is waiting for us. Then we’ll skirt the Erg Chebbi, a great extension of the sandy desert where we can find the Big Dune of Morocco; Which has more than 255mts high. We continue then by the road that was formerly used for the “Paris – Dakar” and ends in the mountains that limit Angelia. Stop at Tissardmin Oasis where we can find fossil quarries still present in the area, we continue then by a road where we can see nomad settlements and learn their secrets and manners. The next stop will be at a viewpoint to contemplate the hole Erg Chebbi. We’ll reach then the Village, originally from Mali, where to take a relaxing cup of tea while we listen to a concert of the spiritual music of Gnawa. Later transfer to your desert camp and free afternoon to enjoy sandboarding on the dunes next to your Erg Chebbi desert camp to see the sunset. Dinner and night in the hotel.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA DESERT – FES

8 HOURS

On the last day, early morning wake up to watch the sunrise from the top of the Erg Chebbi dunes Merzouga Sahara desert. Have breakfast then in the camp, head then to the north towards Fes via the Middle Atlas Mountains. Toward the way, we will drive through Rissani, Erfoud, Errachidia, and Medilt; Stop for lunch and take pictures of wild monkeys in the Cedar forests of Azrou before arriving at Fes.
