ITINERARY: 5 DAYS MOROCCO DESERT TOUR FROM MARRAKECH
Day 1
Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
We leave Marrakech in the morning and soon get to the Tizi n´Tichka mountain pass in the High Atlas. We reach the highest point of the port at 2,260m altitude. The winding landscapes with huge cliffs leaves no one indifferent. Ouarzazate in the next important city that we are gonna reach. With great tradition in films, the city has movie sets with which visitors like taking pictures. This city is known as the Moroccan Hollywod, where there is almost always a movie going on. We continue along the Route of 1000 Kasbahs through the palm grove of Skoura, to reach the Valley of the Roses, a beautif show in spring. We spend the night in the Dades Gorges to continue the next day.
Day 2
Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
Today we cross the Gorges of Dades and Gorges of Todra with its impressive gorges and unique contrasts of colors. We continue our route to Erfoud the city of fossils, we are about to reach the Merzouga Desert. Looking closely at the dunes you will feel a sensation that you probably have never experienced. We arrive at the desert riad. There will be time to walk through the desert of Erg Chebbi or the town, a small village in the desert where all the constructions are made in adobe.
Day 3
Merzouga- Khamlia – Visit to Nomad families – Merzouga
Today we will visit the surroundings of the Merzouga desert by 4 × 4. You will probably feel at Paris-Dakar. We visit villages and towns of Berber nomads, who live in dromedary skin khaimas or small buildings. We will visit the now almost abandoned Minas de Mifis and enjoy Gnawa music in Khamlia, known as “gnawa village.” After lunch we return to the riad to change transport. The dromedaries will be the vehicles now to enter the dunes and arrive at sunset at the camp where we will spend an incredible night with drums, fire and catching the thousands of stars that emerge from the Milky Way.
Day 4
Merzouga – Rissani-Tazzarine- Nkob- Ouarzazate
In the early morning you have the option to see the sunrise. The effort will be worth it in this case. Feel the soft and fine sand slowly heating up as you walk on it. We have breakfast and return with the dromedaries to the riad to continue our tour. Today we visit the Rissani market, the oldest in Morocco where many still come by donkey to do some shopping. And yes, there is donkey parking. We cross the Anti Atlas through several towns such as Tazzarine, N´kob or Agdz, to reach the contrast of greens from the Draa Valley, where the most important date production area is found. We continue until we reach Ouarzazate on Mount Saghro to rest.
Día 5
Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Today we embark on the way back to Marrakech. On the way we pass through the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage Site, where we can see that in this fortified city it seems as if the centuries do not pass, being in a past time, being present today. We continue the journey back through the High Atlas and the Tizi n´Tichka port, to finish again in Marrakech.

TESTIMONIALS
“Excellent experience
We had a 4 Days Trip from Marrakesch to the Merzouga Desert and back. The trip was perfect. Our Guide did a great job, was very friendly and we felt us very comfortable with him. Diana, the trip organizer took care of every detail since we contacted her till we were back at home. All journey experience was unforgettable. In desert we stayed in a camp that was really clean and in middle of the desert, we had our own bed and room arrangement. The camel drive, the sunset/ sunrise in desert just lifetime memories! I absolutely worth the money that you pay for that. I highly recommend this company if you like to enjoy Marocco and desert with comfort.
Thank you very much . Hopefully coming back soon for a new Morocco Sahara tour”

“Simply perfect
We dida Morocco Sahara Tour from Marrakech – Sahara Desert – Fes in 4 daysand it was truly a great experience. The trip was very well planned and the people from the agecy took very good care of us. Our driver was great. He shared a lot with us about the Berber way of living and answered all the questions we had about local culture and history. All the stops throughout the way were beautiful and well worth the travelling. The camel trek and the night spent in the dessert were the pinnacle of our holiday in Morocco. The views were breathtaking, the camp was very comfortable and the dinner was delicious. It does get very very cold at night in November so make sure to bring warm clothes with you, although there were plenty of blankets in the tents. The only downside is that the last day involves a lot of driving back to Fes (over 8 hours) but this is unavoidable so be prepared. Overall, highly recommend this trip! “

“Breathtaking experience
We chose the 3 days tour to Erg Chebbi and the trip was amazing! We started our Morocco Sahara toursin Marrakesh and went through the Atlas mountains where the views are breathtaking right at the start of the tour! But this is just the beginning and it keeps getting better as you approach the desert. Along the way you get to visit a lot of more beautiful places and our guide, Faissal, was always very helpful and friendly answering all our questions!
On the next day we arrived to the desert and went on a camel ride to the encampment where you stay at night. The ride is very funny, it was the first time ridding a camel and was very enjoyable. Along the way we saw the sunset wich gives you the opportunity for excellent pictures and memories! We ended this night watching the stars, never seen the sky so clear with so many stars!
The next day we went back to Marrakesh. These are three long days but are worth every second! “
