Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Agdez

Meet at your riad or hotel where you will be picked up; Start then your journey southward to Draa valley via Tizi n’Tichka pass. Visit then the Berber village of Ait Ben Haddou; Which was established in the 11th century, its position on the main Marrakech to the Sahara route, meant it was an ideal stop-off for traders taking salt across the desert and returning with goods such as gold and whalebone; Later after lunch, we continue then over the Anti Atlas mountains, via the Berber villages of Agdz and the amazing Draa Valley. Have dinner and spend the night in a riad/hotel in Agdez.

Day 2: Agdez – Zagora – Erg Chigaga

After breakfast at your hotel in Agdez, we will continue towards M’hamid. Visit the original town of the 16th-century dynasty Tamgroute and the old Koran library and see the ceramics. Arrive at the Saharan village of M’hamid before taking the off-road track to Erg Chegaga. We will ride the camels into the camp attend the sunset and spend the evening in a desert camp, enjoying a Moroccan dinner, and listening to Berber music around the fire, you can join by drumming or dancing on the best New Year’s Eve; Overnight in a private tent.

Day 3: Relax day at Erg Chigaga dunes

Wake to watch nature at the dunes of Erg Chigaga. Have breakfast and go for a long camel trek to visit the nomad family; have lunch in the oasis, or just stay at the desert camp and relax. You can Add quad biking to your desert experience if you like it; Come back to the Chigaga desert camp by the end of the day. Enjoy a delicious dinner at our camp; Local music under the stars

Day 4: Erg Chigaga – Taznakhat – Taroudant

Early morning after breakfast, continue the drive across the Morocco Sahara desert over the stony desert and the dried-up Lake Criqui. In the middle of this lake, we can search for fossils. On the edge of the desert at Foum Zguid, we drive north to Taznakht, popular for its carpets, where we stop for lunch. Later we reach Taliouine a town famous for Safran, and visit a Safran co-operative. Arrive in Taroudant early evening; Overnight at your Riad/hotel.

Day 5: Taroudant – Essaouira – Marrakech
