ITINERARY: MARRAKECH DESERT TOUR 4 DAYS
Day 1
Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorges
We leave Marrakech in the morning and pass through the Tizi n´Tichka mountain pass in the High Atlas Mountains. We reach the highest point at 2,260m altitude. The winding landscape of cascading cliffs is an impressive route. Ouarzazate in the next important stop on our journey. With a long and great tradition of filmmaking, Ouarzazate is known as the Moroccan Hollywood, because it is frequently used for film and television sets, you may recognize it from Game of Thrones. Afterwards visiting the area we will continue along the Route of 1000 Kasbahs (traditional fortified berber villages) through the palm grove of Skoura, to reach the Valley of the Roses, which in Spring is bursting with pink blooms that strike a stunning contrast to the orange, purple, yellow and red banded mountains. We will spend the night in the Dades Gorges to rest up for the next day.
Day 2
Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Merzouga
Today we cross the Gorges of Dades and Gorges of Todra to make our way to Erfoud the city of fossils, just before reaching the Merzouga Desert. Upon arrival, a desert riad (traditional Moroccan architecture accommodation) will be waiting for us. There will be time to walk through the dunes of Erg Chebbi (the name of this side of the great Sahara) and the small village in the desert where all the constructions are made in adobe. In this village we will change our 4WD for a dromedary that will ride us to the tented luxury camp where we will overnight. The ride crossing the dunes is a great adventure and takes around 1 hour but you can choose to get to the camp by car. We will watch the sunset at the dunes, which is an amazing opportunity to photograph this truly magical scene. This is a great opportunity to take magical photos of the sunset over the dunes.
The camel ride will take us finally to a luxury desert camp. When we get to it, you’ll have time to walk around and admire the sand dunes. In the desert the time stops and you feel a deep tranquility. We will have dinner with Berber around a fire camp and you’ll have free time to walk to the nearest dunes to look up at the blanket of stars. You can find more information about the Sahara experience in the camp tab.
We get up to see the sunrise in the desert and return with the dromedaries to continue our tour in the car in the direction of Marrakech. We will cross the Anti Atlas Mountains through several towns such as Tazzarine, N´kob and Agdz. We will also see the Draa Valley, where the most important date production area is, the lush greenery sharply contrasting with the desert scenes we saw on Day 2. We end the day in Ouarzazate, where we will be spending the night.
Day 4
Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
Today we make our way back to Marrakech, stopping by Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified city and World Heritage Site, you may recognize from films such as Gladiator or Game of thrones We cross back through the High Atlas and the Tizi n´Tichka pass to arrive back in Marrakech.

TESTIMONIALS
“Excellent experience
We had a 4 Days Trip from Marrakesch to the Merzouga Desert and back. The trip was perfect. Our Guide did a great job, was very friendly and we felt us very comfortable with him. Diana, the trip organizer took care of every detail since we contacted her till we were back at home. All journey experience was unforgettable. In desert we stayed in a camp that was really clean and in middle of the desert, we had our own bed and room arrangement. The camel drive, the sunset/ sunrise in desert just lifetime memories! I absolutely worth the money that you pay for that. I highly recommend this company if you like to enjoy Marocco and desert with comfort.
Thank you very much . Hopefully coming back soon for a new Morocco Sahara tour”

“Simply perfect
We dida Morocco Sahara Tour from Marrakech – Sahara Desert – Fes in 4 daysand it was truly a great experience. The trip was very well planned and the people from the agecy took very good care of us. Our driver was great. He shared a lot with us about the Berber way of living and answered all the questions we had about local culture and history. All the stops throughout the way were beautiful and well worth the travelling. The camel trek and the night spent in the dessert were the pinnacle of our holiday in Morocco. The views were breathtaking, the camp was very comfortable and the dinner was delicious. It does get very very cold at night in November so make sure to bring warm clothes with you, although there were plenty of blankets in the tents. The only downside is that the last day involves a lot of driving back to Fes (over 8 hours) but this is unavoidable so be prepared. Overall, highly recommend this trip! “

“Breathtaking experience
We chose the 3 days tour to Erg Chebbi and the trip was amazing! We started our Morocco Sahara toursin Marrakesh and went through the Atlas mountains where the views are breathtaking right at the start of the tour! But this is just the beginning and it keeps getting better as you approach the desert. Along the way you get to visit a lot of more beautiful places and our guide, Faissal, was always very helpful and friendly answering all our questions!
On the next day we arrived to the desert and went on a camel ride to the encampment where you stay at night. The ride is very funny, it was the first time ridding a camel and was very enjoyable. Along the way we saw the sunset wich gives you the opportunity for excellent pictures and memories! We ended this night watching the stars, never seen the sky so clear with so many stars!
The next day we went back to Marrakesh. These are three long days but are worth every second! “
